The Island Walk is great for cycling and e-biking too! The route is a mix of the Confederation Trail (a rolled stone dust and hard-packed surface with gentle grades – no more than 2%), red clay roads, and quiet roads. A hybrid or gravel bike is recommended for the mix of surfaces you’ll encounter. Along the way you’ll pass red sand cliffs, lighthouse sunsets, and endless coastal views.
We’ve put together this free 8-day cycling itinerary for you. All that’s left for you is to pack your bags and book the accommodations!
This 8-day loop takes you through over 30 communities, with overnight stops in Summerside, Miminegash, Tyne Valley, Brackley, St. Peter’s, Souris, Murray Harbour, and back to Charlottetown where you started.
