Cottage Home PEI

Cottage Home PEI is situated 20 minutes west of Summerside in Bayside. In 2025, we will open our walkers retreat called “Footprints” Island Walker Packages are our specialty during the spring and fall seasons. During May, June, September, and October, you can choose from any of our three guest rooms. Each room includes access to a shared living space, kitchen, laundry, decks, and hot tub, as well as Wi-Fi and air conditioning.

The best time to walk the island is during our “shoulder months,” when we can offer reasonable rates. While the weather is not guaranteed, the temperatures are usually most suitable for walking in the Shoulder Season.

We Offer “Two” 3-Night Packages – Double Occupancy – Special Offering, book both packages going and coming from Tignish and receive 5% off each package price. “Savings $117.25”

Room Descriptions

Ezy Suite

Ezy Suite offers a main floor bedroom with an en-suite. It features a four-poster bed, a Queen   Tempur-Pedic mattress, and high-quality linens. The en suite includes a spacious walk-in shower, soft towels, and complimentary toiletries.

Bella & Wispy

Bella & Wispy are available for rent as a combined shared space or separate rooms with a shared bathroom. The large bathroom offers Double Vanities, a Soaker Tub, and a Private Sauna.

Bella features a spacious room adorned with bright colors and warm oceanic accents, creating a beach-inspired ambiance. It boasts a Queen-sized bed equipped with a cooling memory foam mattress for optimal comfort, complemented by elegant linens. Bella also offers a single futon with linens

The Wispy room features warm green tones and a rustic style Queen bed, as well as a single bed, both with comfortable cooling memory foam mattresses and beautiful linens.

Packages Includes

  • Enjoy daily Hot Breakfast and the convenience of the main floor laundry with detergent, washer, dryer or a clothesline if preferred.
  • Packed lunch is available for $15 per day, per person. Make your own bagged lunch out of all kinds of healthy mixes, fresh buns, lunch meat, cheese, fruit, mixed nuts, juice box and water at our take-out lunch bar served daily.  
  • While dinner is not included in the package rates, we offer a daily home-made meal for $25.00 per day, per person. Please see package details below.

PACKAGE 1
3-Night Package Heading to Tignish – Double Occupancy Total Price $1220 + HST   

DAY 1 – Waypoint 5 Wellington

  • PICKUP 4:00 PM
  • First “In-House” dinner served at 5:30 pm.
  • Salad, healthy stew, fresh bread, dessert, coffee, or tea.
  • Drop-off at 9 am

DAY 2 – Waypoint 6 McNeill Mills

  • PICKUP 4:00 PM
  • Second “In-House” dinner served at 5:30 pm.
  • Salad, spaghetti & meatballs, garlic bread, dessert, coffee or tea.
  • Drop-off at 9 am

DAY 3 – Waypoint 7 O’Leary

  • PICKUP 4:00 PM
  • Third “In-House” dinner served at 5:30 pm.
  • Salad, chicken pot stew, fresh bread, dessert, coffee or tea
  • Morning drop at 9 am at O’Leary Confederation Trail before setting off on your next adventure.

Transportation – $395 all-inclusive

  • Transportation costs cover travel to and from waypoints, including luggage transfers from Summerside in-coming and outgoing from O’Leary to Tignish.
  • Transportation rate is applicable for guests who share the transportation at the time of booking, ranging from 1 to 4 persons.
  • For solo travellers I will attempt to pair up with others to share the cost of $395.00 whenever possible. Note: Walkers must be on the same walking schedule.

PACKAGE 2
3-Night Pack Returning from Tignish – Double Occupancy Total Price $1125

DAY 1 – Waypoint 12 Portage

  • PICKUP 4:00 PM
  • “In-House” dinner served at 5:30 pm.
  • Salad, lasagna, garlic bread, dessert, coffee or tea.
  • Drop-off at 9 am

DAY 2 – Waypoint 13 Northam

  • PICKUP 4:00 PM at waypoint, drop off Backwoods’ Burger
  • Dinner at Backwoods Burger Craft Beer and Cookhouse in Tyne Valley (reservation 4:30 PM) call for pickup after having dinner.
  • Drop-off at 9 am

DAY 3 – Waypoint 14 for Miscouche

  • PICKUP 4:00 PM
  • “In-House” dinner served at 5:30 pm.
  • Salad, wood oven pizza, dessert, coffee, or tea.
  • Day 4 – Morning drop at 9 am at Miscouche Confederation Trail before setting off on your next adventure.

Transportation – $350 all-inclusive

  • Transportation cost covers travel to and from waypoints, scheduled dinner out, and luggage transfers from Alberton incoming and outgoing Miscouche to Kensington.
  • Transportation rate is applicable for guests who share the transportation at the time of booking, ranging from 1 to 4 persons.
  • For solo travellers, I will attempt to pair up with others to share the cost of $350.00 whenever possible. Note: Walkers must be on the same walking schedule.

Side Notes: All transportation costs, in-house dinners, and daily packed lunches are paid in cash upon arrival.

  • Additional Walkers are $35.00 per night per person, including hot breakfast
  • Every bedroom is equipped with a 43-inch TV.
  • Main floor laundry includes soaps and dryer sheets.
  • The Hydro Pool Hot Tub is available at your convenience, anytime.
  • Our outdoor area offers ample seating, complete with a screened-in porch.
  • Take a beach chair and dip your feet in the ocean; the salt water is ideal for healing.
  • Should you have any dietary requirements for the potluck dinner, please inform me at the time of your reservation.
