Our Mission & Vision

Promoting Health and Wellness on Prince Edward Island

Our mission is to create and sustain a long-distance walking and cycling route that offers an exceptional and authentic Prince Edward Island experience. We aim to promote health and wellness through outdoor activity for hikers and cyclists from around the world. Our goal is to provide an enriching journey that encourages healthier lifestyles and positive experiences.

Key Objectives

  1. Exceptional Experience
We strive to ensure that the walking and cycling route showcases the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Prince Edward Island. This journey will offer participants a genuine connection to the island’s landscapes and communities.
  2. Health and Wellness
By promoting outdoor activity, we aim to enhance the physical and mental well-being of our participants. The route is designed to encourage active lifestyles and foster a sense of accomplishment among hikers and cyclists.
  3. Global Reach
Our route is open to users from around the world, providing an opportunity for international visitors to experience the charm and hospitality of Prince Edward Island. We aspire to make the island a must-visit destination for outdoor enthusiasts.
  4. Support and Guidance
We commit to offering comprehensive support and guidance to all users of the 700-kilometre route. This includes providing maps, safety tips, and other essential resources to ensure a safe and enjoyable journey.

Strategies for Success

  • Creating Awareness
We will engage in marketing and outreach efforts to raise awareness of the route, highlighting its unique features and benefits. This will include social media campaigns, collaborations with travel bloggers, and partnerships with tourism boards.
  • Community Involvement
Engaging local communities along the route is essential. We will work with residents and businesses to enhance the experience for travelers, supporting local economies and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Sustainability Practices
Our commitment to sustainability will guide the development and maintenance of the route. We will implement eco-friendly practices and educate participants on how to minimize their environmental impact.

By focusing on these objectives and strategies, we aim to create a world-class walking and cycling route that not only promotes health and wellness but also celebrates the unique character of Prince Edward Island.
