Located in sunny St. Andrews, Prince Edward Island, Bishop’s Rest Bed & Breakfast is situated adjacent to a chapel, up on the hill, overlooking the Hillsborough River. The house is near the Bishop MacEachern National Historic Site.
The former parochial house, rebuilt in 1934 after the original structure was destroyed in a fire, has been continuously updated since 2009 to retain its original heritage and charm, with modern luxuries. The property is located conveniently close to white sandy beaches, golf courses, walking and biking trails, excursions, restaurants, and other amenities. Just steps from the front door you can connect on to the Confederation Trail which will take you from one end of the island to the other. If you are arriving via the trail, you an find our pathway (with a designated sign) between trail markers 206-207.
The home features three spacious rental bedrooms, a large dining room, a relaxing parlour, and continental breakfast served daily. The windows in the home have all been replaced and a lovely balcony was added above the front entrance deck for guests to enjoy the view of the river. We are continuing to add amenities to please our growing clientele, be it a prepared picnic lunch, dinner for two, or an on site bake shop.
Whether you are looking for an island getaway, or just to get away from it all, Bishop’s Rest can offer you the serenity you need to rejuvinate your spirit. Our family lives on site and are always happy to help you plan your vacation, or give you the quiet space you need to relax and unwind. Come stay with us!
We are open for business May through October.
