Camping

Wild camping is illegal on PEI and camping is only allowed in licensed campgrounds.

Here is a list of some of the campgrounds on, or around, the Island Walk. Please check if they are open before making plans. Some may not be open if you are walking in Spring/Fall so please contact them directly to be sure.

Please note that some campgrounds require additional travel to get to.

Land Acknowledgement

In the spirit of Reconciliation, we acknowledge that the land upon which we gather is unceded Mi’kmaq territory. Epekwitk (Prince Edward Island), Mi’kma’ki, is covered by the historic Treaties of Peace and Friendship. We pay our respects to the Indigenous Mi’kmaq People who have occupied this Island for over 12,000 years; past, present and future.
