Yes, dogs are welcome! Dogs on leash are permitted everywhere on The Island Walk, except on beaches in the National Park.

There are many pet-friendly accommodations and campgrounds available on PEI and many are close to the trail.

Watch the heat. The best time to walk with a dog would be the fall. Springtime on PEI can be muddy on the trails and muddy on the tails. Don’t forget to pack extra water and poop bags!
