The Official Island Walk App

Plan your walk, find your way, and track your progress, all in one place.

The Island Walk app is your one-stop shop for the full 700 km route around Prince Edward Island. Use it at home while you plan, then bring it with you on the trail.

  1. Plan your trip
Tell the trip planner how many days you have and what you’re interested in, and it will build a custom itinerary just for you. Whether you’re walking the whole Island or picking a few favourite sections, it’s a great place to start.
  2. Know every section
Get details on every section of the route, so you know what to expect before you set out each day.
  3. Find your way on the trail
See the route, partners, and rest stops on the map, with your location shown live. No service? Download offline maps before you go.
  4. See what’s nearby
Looking for a meal, a coffee, or a place to stay? The directory shows businesses near you as you walk, including our Island Walk partners.
  5. Collect your stamps
The app includes the Island Walk digital passport. Scan the QR codes along the way to stamp your passport and keep track of the sections you’ve completed.
  6. Help us keep the trail in shape
Spot a missing sign or another issue on the trail? Report it right in the app so we can fix it.
  7. Support whenever you need it
Chat with Isla, our digital assistant, for 24/7 support. Ask about the route, nearby services, or anything else about your walk.
  8. No app store needed
The Island Walk app is a web app, so there’s nothing to download. Just open it in your browser and save it to your home screen so it’s always one tap away.
  • iPhone: Open the app in Safari, tap the Share button, then tap “Add to Home Screen.”
  • Android: Open the app in Chrome, tap the menu (three dots), then tap “Add to Home screen” or “Install app.”
