The Island Walk has hundreds of participants every year, booking up to 32 nights or more around PEI. And it’s growing.
Our walkers are looking for you
How do Walkers plan their trips? By visiting our website and social media. Some Partners are able to provide transportation and as a result, are booking multiple night stays with Walkers from all over the world.
What do you get for being an Island Walk Partner? A lot. Check it out.
Island Walk Partners are highlighted on multiple pages on our website, social media platforms and in our responses to walker inquiries. Partners will also get the added benefit of appearing in more Google search results by being in more places on the web and on a high volume traffic website. Here are some of the pages where you could appear, depending on what you offer.
New for 2024, The Island Walk is offering 2 Partnership OPTIONS.

The Island Walk has been featured in over 30 articles from well-known publications such as Travel + Leisure, Globe & Mail, The New York Times and National Geographic, as well as on television shows like The Social and numerous news shows in Canada and the U.S. As a result, The Island Walk has received well over two thousand inquiries from people interested in visiting PEI to complete the walk.
During Year 1 in 2020, over 45 people completed the walk, which resulted in 1,440 room nights (45 people at 32 nights each).
This year, by September, we already had over 300 registered walkers and estimate that only about half of walkers actually register. Given that, we estimate at least 5,300 room nights and we hope to receive more registrations over the following months.
To better assist walkers travelling to PEI to do the walk, The Island Walk is actively recruiting more accommodation and transportation partners. Have questions? Reach out to Heather or Roberta at info@theislandwalk.ca.
