Island Walk Cycle in 12 Days

Three friends and I cycled the Island Walk starting and ending in Summerside. We rode between 40 – 100 kms each day with 1 day off due to torrential rain. We totalled 700km and rode on the Confederation Trail, on roads and highways.

We had a car with us so 2 women would drive to the next day’s hotel and ride back to meet the other 2. This worked out perfectly.

We were able to see all the sites we wanted and still had time in the afternoons to enjoy the red or white sand beaches or other shops and museums in the towns we were spending the night in.

We found the roads and trails extremely quiet. All the hotels or inns were fabulous and had safe and dry places to keep our bikes.

It has been an incredible experience.
