Registration includes lunch at Bogside
- Meat option: Pulled pork sandwiches with Kansas city BBQ sauce and creamy slaw with side of roasted dill baby red potatoes.
- Vegetarian option: Pulled portobello mushroom sandwiches with Kansas city Bbq sauce and creamy slaw with side of roasted dill baby red potatoes.

This event is a fundraiser. Money raised will support the trail’s maintenance and improvement, signage, marketing and more. A portion of the proceeds will also be directed to our friends at the Upper Room PEI Food Banks.

The 12K is open to 90 entrants
REGISTRATION & ENTRY FEES
Entry fees for the July 27, 2024 12K are $35
Race Kit Pickup
Race kit pick up will be at Sporting Intentions located at 190 Minna Jane Dr., Charlottetown, PE C1E 2L9.
Participants are encouraged to pick up their race kit during the times listed below. If you are not able to pick up for yourself, you can have a friend sign to pick up your kit for you. You can also pick it up on the day of the event at the Start.
Thursday July 25th – 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Event Day Pickup available from 8:00 to 8:30 am only, at the Start in Cardigan.
START-9:00 AM
Meetup and Parking at Cardigan Lobster Suppers at 4557 Wharf Rd, Cardigan, PE C0A 1G0. There will be parking, bathrooms, water, coffee and snacks at the meet up/parking area. The finish is near the Waypoint 27 sign on the waterfront in Montague.

COURSE
The 12K features a beautiful course along the Confederation Trail beginning in Cardigan and ending in Montague.
The 12K is for runners, walkers and hikers, can accommodate wheelchairs and baby joggers. Be prepared for an incredible morning!
Bathrooms are available at the start and finish.
AID STATIONS
The 12K features three aid stations about every 4km+/- with water and water refill stations for you to refill your personal bottles.
COURSE TIME LIMIT/WALKERS
The 12K has more than four hours available to finish and both walkers and runners are welcome. The prize giveaways will take place starting at 11:30. If your name is called and you are not finished your prize will be held for you until you arrive at Bogside.
FINISH
The 12K ends at the Waypoint 27 on the Confederation Trail on the Montague waterfront, followed by lunch at Bogside Brewery, with live entertainment, prizes and Island Walk merchandise for sale.
TIMING AND AWARDS
The 12K event is not a chip-timed event but times are recorded at the finish line. There are no overall or age group awards or awards ceremony for the 12K.
PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION
Cardigan Meet-Up Location > Cardigan Lobster Suppers, 4557 Wharf Rd, Cardigan, PE C0A 1G0, parking and bathrooms available.
Montague Bogside Location > 11 Brook St, Montague, PE C0A 1R0, parking and bathrooms available.
There is free parking in Cardigan and at the end of the Confederation Trail in Montague and also at Bogside. If you come with a friend you can park a car or bike at either end or volunteer to take people back to the start. We will have free lifts available back to the start. Look for the Pepper-mobile!
